Cuba's Raul Castro has been appointed as the leader of the Communist Party

HAVANA - MICOM: Cuban President Raul Castro has been appointed as the leader of the ruling Communist Party, replacing his older brother, revolutionary icon Fidel Castro, who held the position since the party's founding in 1965.
